Marc Marquez Sends Bold Message to Rivals: “I’m Not Scared of Any Track”

MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez has issued a clear message to his competitors ahead of the British Grand Prix, stating he has no fear of any track on the 2025 calendar, even if he acknowledges there will be tough races ahead.

Marquez has enjoyed a dominant start to his debut season with the factory Ducati team, winning all six sprint races and securing victory in three of the opening six grands prix. This impressive form has given him a 22-point lead in the standings over his younger brother, Alex Marquez, who rides for Gresini Ducati.

Despite having only one premier class win at Silverstone – achieved back in 2014 – Marc heads into the British GP with confidence. His victory drought in Qatar, which had lasted since 2014, was recently broken with a double win at Lusail, adding to the belief that previous records no longer apply.

Following his second-place finish in wet conditions at the French Grand Prix, Marquez was asked whether any circuits ahead might prove challenging.

“Nowhere,” he replied firmly.
“This is the goal. Of course, realistically there will be races where I struggle. But I never approach a weekend thinking I will struggle. I’ll know after Friday.

“Qatar was physically demanding, but we got the job done. Since then, I’m not afraid of any race track.

“There will be difficult races, for sure, but the important thing is we’ve now built a small lead again in the standings. The key is not to throw it away like we did in Austin and Jerez.”

Marquez had been leading the Americas GP in Austin before crashing out and also dropped out of podium contention early at the Spanish GP in Jerez.

Looking ahead, only four tracks on the 2025 calendar remain unconquered by the six-time world champion. He has yet to win in Austria, Indonesia, and Portugal, while Hungary is a new addition to the championship.
